Hunter Hampton is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Missouri. His research interests include religion, sports, the American West, gender, and popular culture. His dissertation is the history of muscular Christianity in 20th-century America. He got his B.A. in History from the University of Arkansas, and his M.A. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Hunter loves all things Texas, BBQ, Cowboy’s football, Rangers baseball, country music, and God (maybe or maybe not in that order). His wife Sydney keeps him sane, and his dog Biggie gives him someone to talk to as he writes his dissertation in his basement.
