Matthew Stewart is a Masters student in American History at Norwich University. His research interests include the American Civil War and the relationship between American history, public institutions and popular memory. Recent projects include work on the Texas section of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s traveling exhibit — on display at the Bullock Texas State History Museum for Fall 2015. He is currently researching Sam Houston and the Union League, and enjoys hiking with his wife and three dogs in Central Texas.
