NASSH 2017: Call for Summaries

This weekend, sport historians will flock to the campus of the California State University, Fullerton, in sunny southern California for the annual convention of the North American Society of Sport History (NASSH). For the last three years, the Sport in American History Blog has published a review of the conference (2014, 2015, and 2016), offering a glimpse of the latest sport history research.

Follow this link for this year’s conference schedule.

nassh17This year, we would like to draw on the experiences of those of our readers who attend the conference to crowd-source our review post. On Thursday, June 8, Sport in American History will publish it’s annual NASSH Review. There are three ways for you to join us and share your NASSH experience.

  1. Take notes during the conference in our collaborative Google Doc: NASSH in Review: Cal State Fullerton.
  2. Submit 250-500 word summaries of any papers, sessions, or keynotes you attended. You can share those in our Google Doc: NASSH in Review: Cal State FullertonOr, you can submit any summaries to Andy Linden (adlinden@gmail.com).
  3. Tweet us at @ussporthistory with your comments and pictures!

We will gather all of our responses and post them and attribute your comments. We look forward to seeing you in California!
